Brightside Extended Warranty

Manufacturer warranties, extended protection, and how to make a claim.

Last updated: 8 June 2026

Every product purchased from Euronics.ie is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. This page explains what warranties cover, how to make a claim, and the additional protection options available to you as a Euronics customer.

1. Warranty Overview

Key Points

  • All products come with a manufacturer warranty (typically 1–2 years).
  • Your statutory consumer rights under Irish law apply in addition to any warranty.
  • Extended protection plans may be available for certain product categories.
  • Warranty claims are handled through the manufacturer or our service partners.

2. Manufacturer Warranty

Most products sold on Euronics.ie are covered by the manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. Warranty duration and coverage varies by brand and product type.

Product Category Typical Warranty Coverage
Major Domestic Appliances (washing machines, fridges, ovens) 1–2 years Manufacturing defects, component failure
Small Domestic Appliances (kettles, toasters, vacuums) 1–2 years Manufacturing defects
TVs & Audio 1–2 years Panel defects, component failure
Computing & Tablets 1 year Hardware defects (excludes software)
Dyson Products 2–5 years Parts and labour (varies by product)
i
Warranty periods and terms are set by the manufacturer and may vary. Check the documentation included with your product or the manufacturer's website for specific warranty details.

What is NOT covered

  • Accidental damage (drops, spills, power surges)
  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) that don't affect function
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from improper installation or misuse
  • Consumable parts (filters, batteries, bulbs) unless defective

3. Extended Protection Plans

For additional peace of mind, extended warranty or protection plans may be available on selected products. These plans extend your coverage beyond the manufacturer's warranty period.

✓
Extended protection plans may cover:
  • Mechanical and electrical breakdown
  • Parts and labour costs
  • In-home repairs for large appliances
  • Replacement if the product cannot be repaired

Ask about extended protection options when purchasing, or contact our Online Team for more information.

4. Making a Warranty Claim

If your product develops a fault during the warranty period, follow these steps:

  1. Gather your details — Have your order number, product serial number, and a description of the fault ready.
  2. Contact the Euronics Online Team — Call 01 5310700 or email onlineorders@euronics.ie. We'll confirm if the issue is covered under warranty.
  3. Warranty service arranged — Depending on the product, we'll arrange a manufacturer repair visit, a service centre collection, or a replacement.
  4. Resolution — Once the claim is assessed, you'll receive a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
!
Keep your proof of purchase. You'll need your order confirmation email or receipt to make a warranty claim. We recommend keeping these for the full warranty period.

5. Your Statutory Rights

Your warranty rights are in addition to — not a replacement for — your statutory consumer rights under Irish law. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022:

  • Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
  • If a fault appears within 30 days of delivery, you may be entitled to a refund or replacement.
  • After 30 days, the retailer must first attempt a repair or replacement.
  • These rights apply for up to 6 years from the date of delivery.

For more information on your return and refund rights, see our Refund & Returns Policy.

6. Frequently Asked Questions

Check the documentation that came with your product, or visit the manufacturer's website. You can also contact our Online Team and we'll help you find out.

Under Irish consumer law, your statutory rights extend beyond the manufacturer's warranty period. If a fault is inherent (i.e. existed from the time of sale), you may still have a claim. Contact our team to discuss your options.

Most manufacturer warranties are valid from the date of purchase without registration. However, some brands (e.g. Dyson, Samsung) offer extended warranty benefits if you register your product with them directly.

Standard manufacturer warranties do not cover accidental damage. However, some extended protection plans may include accidental damage cover. Ask about this when purchasing your product.

Repair times depend on the manufacturer and availability of parts. For large appliances, an engineer visit is usually arranged within 5–10 working days. For smaller items, turnaround is typically 7–14 working days after collection.
