Free WEEE & battery take‑back

Never put WEEE or waste batteries in your household wheelie bin. All old electrical goods and batteries must be recycled.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one‑for‑one, like‑for‑like basis. Waste batteries — including rechargeables — are also taken back free of charge, and you don't need to buy anything to return them.

Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities.

What you can recycle

Large appliances

Washing machines, fridges, freezers, cookers and other big kitchen & home appliances.

Small appliances

Kettles, toasters, blenders, irons, hair‑dryers and other small electrical items.

Battery recycling

Our stores have battery recycling bins. We accept these common household types:

DCAAAAAFlat
We can't accept industrial batteries.

Recycling on delivery

If you're having a new large home appliance delivered, we'll collect your old equivalent for recycling — free of charge. To help our driver:

  • Make sure the old appliance is disconnected, clean and ready at the time of delivery.

Small appliances (kettles, toasters, irons, microwaves, hair‑dryers, etc.) aren't eligible for collection on delivery — but they're still covered by the WEEE scheme, so you can drop them into any Euronics store for free recycling.

Why recycle?

We'll make sure your old product is disposed of correctly — reducing the potentially harmful effects on the environment and helping to conserve natural resources.
