WEEE & battery take-back (free of charge)

Important: All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. Waste batteries (including rechargeable batteries) are also taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries.

Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities.

What you can recycle

You can recycle both large and small electrical items through our stores and take-back scheme:

  • Large kitchen / home appliances: washing machines, fridges and cookers.
  • Small domestic appliances: kettles, toasters, blenders (and other small electrical items).

Battery recycling in our stores

Yes, our stores have battery recycling bins. We accept: D, C, AAA, AA and flat batteries.

We cannot accept industrial batteries.

Recycle with Delivery

If you are having a new large home appliance delivered, we’ll collect your old one for recycling at no extra cost.

  • Please ensure the old appliance is disconnected, clean, and ready for our driver at the time of delivery.

Small appliances & delivery collection

Small domestic appliances (such as kettles, toasters, irons, microwaves, hair-dryers etc.) are not eligible for collection during delivery.

However, they are still covered by the WEEE scheme and can be brought to any of our Euronics stores for free recycling.

Why recycle?

We will ensure that your old product is disposed of correctly to reduce the potentially harmful effects on the environment and to conserve natural resources.
