A 25 litre built-in microwave that fits a standard 60 cm cabinet, delivering 900 watts through a stainless steel cavity with pop-out controls that sit flush when idle.
The Series 4 BFL553MS0B is a full-width built-in microwave, 59.4 cm across and 38.2 cm high, so it lines up with a standard 60 cm oven housing. It suits a kitchen where the microwave belongs in the tall unit alongside the oven rather than competing for worktop space.
The 25 litre stainless steel cavity is the practical gain. A 31.5 cm glass turntable takes a large dinner plate or a serving dish without catching, and 900 watts of maximum power shortens the wait. Five power levels run from 90 to 900 watts, with AutoPilot providing seven preset programmes and a memory slot for one setting.
Ideal for
Family kitchens
A 25 litre cavity and a 31.5 cm turntable take the larger plates and dishes a family meal actually involves, rather than the single portion a compact model expects.
Matching oven runs
At 59.4 cm wide with a 560 to 568 mm niche, it sits directly above or below a standard built-in oven for a continuous stainless steel column.
Easy cleaning
The stainless steel cavity and the retractable dials both exist to make cleaning quick: no protruding knobs to work around, no painted lining to mark.
Key features
25 litre cavity
A stainless steel interior of 20.8 by 32.8 by 36.9 cm, lit by LED, with a 31.5 cm glass turntable that takes a full-size dinner plate.
900 W maximum power
Maximum power is 900 watts, with 90, 180, 360 and 600 watt levels below it for defrosting and for the gentler warming that food often needs.
Pop-out controls
The control dials retract flush into the fascia when not in use, which keeps the front flat to clean and gives the appliance a tidy line.
AutoPilot 7
Seven automatic programmes cover four defrost and three cooking tasks, setting the power and time so routine jobs need no decisions from you.
Memory setting
One memory slot stores the combination you use most, so a repeated power and time setting is a press away rather than a fresh set-up each time.
Electronic door release
The side-opening door is released by an electronic button rather than a handle, keeping the front clean and uninterrupted across the width of the appliance.
More to know
Why the extra five litres matter
Twenty litres is enough for a mug and a small plate. Twenty-five, with a 31.5 cm turntable, is the point where a proper dinner plate turns freely and a casserole dish fits without wedging against the walls. The cavity measures 20.8 by 32.8 by 36.9 cm, and it is lined in stainless steel rather than painted, so splashes lift off instead of staining.
Fitting it above the oven
The appliance is 38.2 cm high, 59.4 cm wide and 38.8 cm deep, and needs a niche of 380 to 382 mm high by 560 to 568 mm wide by 550 mm deep. That is the standard compact housing used across built-in ranges, which is why it stacks cleanly with a 60 cm oven. The mains cable is 130 cm and the connected load is 1.45 kW on a 10 amp supply.
Controls designed around cleaning
Most built-in microwaves put a dial on the front and leave it there, collecting grease around the collar. This one uses a retractable dial that pushes back into the fascia, with round touch controls and a start button trimmed in steel. The door opens by electronic button rather than a handle. What is left is a flat stainless front you can wipe in a single pass, and the red LED display with its electronic clock timer stays legible from across the kitchen.

- free repair or free replacement;
- in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.
Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
