A 9 kg heat pump dryer in cast iron grey with energy class B, noise class A and Home Connect control from your phone, plus a self-cleaning condenser.
The WQH246DRIE is Bosch's Series 6 heat pump tumble dryer, a 9 kg freestanding machine finished in cast iron grey. It is a connected machine, with Home Connect for remote monitoring and control, energy management and remote diagnostics, and it will pull extra programmes down over the air when Bosch adds them.
The numbers behind it are strong. Energy class B and 0.92 kWh per eco cycle come from a heat pump with a Self-Cleaning Condenser that clears fluff automatically during the programme, so efficiency does not drift over the years. Noise class A at 59 dB(A) is the other headline, backed by a dedicated Silent Dry programme for when you want to run a load late.

What the Self-Cleaning Condenser does
In a heat pump dryer the condenser is where moisture leaves your clothes, and fluff gradually settles on it. On models without automatic cleaning, that means a filter to remove and rinse. Here the condenser cleans itself during the programme, so the machine holds its efficiency cycle after cycle and there is one fewer chore attached to laundry day. You still empty the condensate container, or plumb the dryer into a drain and forget about that too.
What Home Connect actually gives you
Connectivity on appliances can be gimmicky, so it is worth being specific. On this dryer Home Connect provides remote monitoring and control, remote diagnostics for service calls, energy management for households running a smart tariff or solar, and additional programmes downloaded to the machine, including wool in the basket, woollens finish and a timed cold cycle. Smart Dry goes further and selects a drying programme based on your last wash, though it needs a connected Bosch washing machine to work.
Quiet running and long cycles
Noise class A at 59 dB(A) puts this among the quietest tumble dryers on the current label, and a Silent Dry programme is included for when even that is too much. The trade-off is time: a full eco load runs for four hours twenty-five minutes, or two hours forty at half capacity, and speedPerfect is there when you need to compress that. A drum interior light, a large LED display and a jog dial make the machine straightforward to set, and Bosch rates it repairability class A.

Legal guarantee
Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:
- do not match the description;
- do not function as intended.
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:
- free repair or free replacement;
- in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.
Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
