Bosch Series 8 Fully Integrated Dishwasher 60cm with Zeolith PerfectDry and Home Connect
A 14-place fully integrated dishwasher with Zeolith PerfectDry and an energy label A rating, so glassware and plastics come out dry without a heat blast.
The SMD8YCX03G disappears behind your own cabinet door and takes on the washing-up for a busy household. Fourteen place settings mean a full family dinner, pots and serving dishes included, goes in at once. Eight programmes cover everything from a 40 °C glass cycle to a 70 °C intensive wash, and the top-edge controls stay hidden while it runs.
Drying is where it separates itself. Zeolith PerfectDry works with an Efficient Dry heat exchanger, and Extra Dry is on hand as an option when a load needs longer. The Eco programme uses 54 kWh per 100 cycles and 9.5 litres of water, which is how a 14-place machine reaches energy label A.
Ideal For
Fourteen place settings swallow a full day's dishes in one go, and the Max Flex Pro baskets, VarioDrawer and three-stage Rackmatic top basket adapt to pans, platters and tall glasses alike.
DoorOpen Assist suits kitchens designed without handles, and with the controls on the top edge the fitted door front stays completely uninterrupted when the machine is closed.
Rated 44 dB, or 43 dB on the Silence programme, and driven by an EcoSilence BLDC motor, it can run while the room is still in use.
Key Features
Enough capacity for a family meal and the cookware that produced it, loaded across Max Flex Pro baskets with a VarioDrawer for cutlery and utensils.
The Eco 50 °C programme draws 54 kWh per 100 cycles and 9.5 litres of water per cycle, the top rung of the current A to G scale.
Bosch's Zeolith drying system pairs with an Efficient Dry heat exchanger, and Extra Dry is available as one of five special options when a load needs more.
Quiet enough for evening cycles, with a Class B noise rating and a Silence programme that brings it down to 43 dB when the room is in use.
A high-definition colour TFT display sits on the top edge, and TimeLight projects the programme status and time remaining onto the floor while the door stays shut.
Wi-Fi connectivity brings Remote Start and app-based monitoring, so a load can be set in the morning and started once the house is quiet.
What energy label A means here
The current EU scale runs from A down to G, and A is genuinely hard to reach on a full-size machine. This one gets there on 54 kWh per 100 Eco cycles and 9.5 litres of water per cycle. The trade is time: the Eco 50 °C programme runs for four hours and 55 minutes, because low consumption comes from washing longer at lower temperatures rather than pushing heat through quickly. Set it running overnight and that length stops mattering.
Eight programmes and five options
The programme list covers the everyday and the awkward: Eco 50 °C for routine loads, Auto 45-65 °C when you would rather not decide, Intensive 70 °C for roasting tins, Glass 40 °C for stemware, Express 60 °C when the cycle needs to be short, Silence 50 °C for evenings, an Intelligent 40 °C programme and a Favourite slot. Five options layer on top, among them Intensive Zone, Hygiene+, SpeedPerfect+ and Extra Dry.
Fitting it into your kitchen
This is a fully integrated machine, so it needs a niche of 815 to 875 mm high, 600 mm wide and 550 mm deep, plus a cabinet door of your own on the front. The appliance itself measures 81.5 by 59.8 by 55 cm and weighs 43.3 kg, which makes it a two-person lift into position. Because the controls sit on the top edge, nothing interrupts the door front once it is closed, and a ChildLock is included for households with small children.
How It Compares
| Kitchen Need | Bosch Technology | Practical Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Full family dinner | 14 place settings | One load takes the plates, glasses and cookware from a full family meal without a second run. |
| Plastic tubs and lids | Zeolith PerfectDry | The dedicated drying system, with Extra Dry available as one of five special options, handles the drying stage. |
| Open-plan kitchen noise | Silence programme, 43 dB | Drops to 43 dB(A) so a cycle can run while the room is being used in the evening. |
| Running costs | Energy label A | 54 kWh per 100 Eco cycles and 9.5 litres of water per cycle keep the running costs down. |
| Handleless door fronts | DoorOpen Assist | Designed for kitchens without handles, so the integrated door can be opened without breaking the line of the units. |
| Starting a wash remotely | Home Connect Wi-Fi | Remote Start and app monitoring let you load in the morning and begin the cycle from elsewhere. |

The Verdict
Strengths
- Energy label A on the current A to G scale
- 14 place settings across Max Flex Pro baskets
- Zeolith PerfectDry with Efficient Dry heat exchanger
- 44 dB(A) running noise, 43 dB(A) on Silence
- Home Connect Wi-Fi with Remote Start
- TimeLight projects programme status onto the floor
- AquaStop water protection with AquaSensor III
Considerations
- Fully integrated: you must supply and fit a cabinet door, and the niche needs to be 815 to 875 mm high.
- The Eco 50 °C programme takes four hours and 55 minutes, so it suits overnight running rather than a quick turnaround.
- Home Connect features need a home Wi-Fi network; without one the machine still works, but Remote Start and app monitoring do not.
What's in the Box

Legal guarantee
Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:
- do not match the description;
- do not function as intended.
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:
- free repair or free replacement;
- in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.
Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:
- Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
- Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.
Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
