Flashforge PLA Silk in Silver has a bright, polished sheen that makes vases, robots, spaceships and sci-fi props look machined rather than printed. It is an easy way to give gadget stands, desk accessories and display pieces a sleek, metallic finish with no painting or post-processing, and it makes striking ornaments and trophies alongside Silk Gold.

It prints at 190 to 240°C on a 25 to 60°C bed with a 0.4mm nozzle recommended, just like regular PLA, and it is rated for 40 to 300mm/s, so it is ready for high-speed printers. The 1kg spool holds 1.75mm filament that works with any 1.75mm FDM printer. If the spool has picked up moisture, dry it at 55°C for eight hours before printing.

Silk Silver has a bright, polished sheen that makes vases, robots and sci-fi props look machined rather than printed.

Flashforge PLA Silk prints with a smooth, glossy finish straight off the printer, giving your models a lustrous, almost polished look without sanding or painting. It handles just like regular PLA at 190–240°C, with print speeds up to 300mm/s.

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries. Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries.
