The Art Screen finish is matte rather than glossy, so a still image reads as a print rather than as a black rectangle catching the light from the window behind you. Magnetic bezels, sold separately, change the surround to suit the room.
Art Mode does the work. A brightness and colour sensor matches the picture to the room, and motion detection means the screen only lights up when somebody is actually there. The Art Store adds a subscription library of more than 5,000 works. Underneath it is a full Tizen smart TV, with Samsung TV Plus, Gaming Hub and a SmartThings Matter hub.
Judge this one on the wall it hangs on, not the spec sheet, and read the size differences carefully before you decide which one to buy.
About this size: The 43-inch is a 50 Hz panel, not 144 Hz. It has three HDMI inputs at 4K 60 Hz, no One Connect Box, no USB-C, 20 W 2ch audio with OTS Lite and HDR10+ Adaptive only. The Slim Fit Wall Mount is still included and VESA is 200 x 200.

The screen that looks like a print
Two things make Art Mode convincing. The first is the finish: a matte, anti-glare coating that kills the mirror effect a glossy panel has when a lamp or a window is behind you. The second is the sensing. A brightness and colour sensor matches the artwork to the light in the room, and motion detection keeps the screen dark when nobody is in it, so it is not burning power all evening for an empty room.
What changes between the sizes
The differences here are real and worth reading. The 55 and 65-inch run a 144 Hz VRR panel, carry 40 W of 2.0.2ch audio with Object Tracking Sound and Dolby Atmos, and use a separate wired One Connect Box with four HDMI inputs. The 43-inch is a 50 Hz set with three HDMI inputs, 20 W two-channel sound and no connection box. The 32-inch is an earlier generation again.
Mounting, power and everyday use
Slim Fit Wall Mount is in the box on the 43, 55 and 65-inch, and it sits the panel close enough to the wall that the illusion works. VESA is 200 x 200 on the 43 and 55-inch and 400 x 300 on the 65-inch, so check before ordering a bracket. Legal guarantee
Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:
- do not match the description;
- do not function as intended.
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:
- free repair or free replacement;
- in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.
Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
