Description

Samsung 85" U7000H 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart TV (2026) · product code UE85U7000HKXXU

The Samsung U7000H is the 2026 Crystal UHD entry line, built around a 4K LED LCD panel and the Crystal Processor 4K. The processor's main job is upscaling, because most broadcast and streaming content arrives below 4K, and it is supported by UHD Dimming, Mega Contrast, Contrast Enhancer and Colour Booster. HDR10+ is decoded where the source carries it, and Filmmaker Mode is there for anyone who wants the processing left alone.

Sound is a 20 W two-channel system with Object Tracking Sound Lite, Adaptive Sound and Q-Symphony, so a compatible Samsung soundbar can play alongside the built-in speakers. Tizen with One UI provides the apps, Samsung TV Plus and Bixby voice, while Auto Game Mode, VRR and HGiG cover console gaming. Connections run to three HDMI inputs with eARC, one USB-A, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. The panel is listed at 50 Hz.

85" U7000H 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart TV

The U7000H is Samsung's 2026 Crystal UHD entry line: a 4K LED LCD panel driven by the Crystal Processor 4K, with HDR10+, Tizen and a black-footed slim cabinet.

Crystal UHD is where Samsung's 4K range starts, and the U7000H is the plainest reading of it. A 3840 x 2160 LED LCD panel, the Crystal Processor 4K handling upscaling, HDR10+ decoding and Tizen on top. Nothing here is exotic. What it does instead is cover the jobs most households actually ask of a television, at the price the range opens at.

The panel runs at 50 Hz, with Motion Xcelerator smoothing the gap on sport and film pans. Audio is a 20 W two-channel system with Object Tracking Sound Lite, and Q-Symphony lets a compatible Samsung soundbar play alongside the built-in speakers rather than replacing them. Three HDMI inputs, one carrying eARC, cover a box, a console and a soundbar.

Buy the U7000H for what it is: a competent 4K set with a modern smart platform, not a picture-quality upgrade over a good mid-range television.
About this size: The 85-inch also uses 400 x 300 mm VESA and weighs 28.9 kg with the stand, so check both your bracket and the route into the room.

Ideal For

A first 4K set

If you are moving up from an older HD television, the Crystal Processor 4K rebuilds broadcast and streaming pictures for the 3840 x 2160 panel without demanding any setup from you.

Second rooms and spare bedrooms

The smaller sizes are light enough for one person to lift onto a stand, and Tizen brings the same apps and Samsung TV Plus channels as the main set.

Evening console gaming, not esports

Auto Game Mode drops latency the moment a console wakes, VRR and HGiG are supported, and three HDMI inputs mean the box and soundbar stay connected. Competitive players will want more.

What the processing actually does

The Crystal Processor 4K is the part you notice most, because most of what you watch is not native 4K. It analyses the incoming picture and maps it onto the 3840 x 2160 panel, while UHD Dimming, Mega Contrast and Contrast Enhancer work on the light and dark ends of the frame. Colour Booster widens the palette, HDR10+ is decoded when the source provides it, and Filmmaker Mode switches the processing off for anyone who prefers the director's settings.

Sound you can build on

Twenty watts across two channels is enough for news, soaps and background viewing, and Object Tracking Sound Lite gives effects a sense of direction. Adaptive Sound adjusts for what is playing. The more useful part is the upgrade path: Q-Symphony drives a compatible Samsung soundbar and the television's own speakers together, and the eARC-capable HDMI port carries audio back to an amplifier or bar over a single cable.

Smart platform, gaming and sockets

Tizen with One UI covers the major apps, Samsung TV Plus adds free ad-supported channels, and the Vision AI Companion and Bixby handle voice. For gaming there is Auto Game Mode, VRR and HGiG, plus a Football Mode preset for match days. Connections are three HDMI with eARC on one, a single USB-A, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. Samsung lists Gaming Hub for a set of launch countries, so confirm cloud gaming availability locally.

The Verdict

Why it stands out

  • Crystal Processor 4K upscaling on every source
  • HDR10+ decoding at an entry-level price
  • Q-Symphony and eARC for a soundbar upgrade
  • Tizen, TV Plus and Bixby voice built in
  • Slim three-sided bezel-less cabinet on black feet

Worth knowing

  • Samsung's spec tab lists the panel at 50 Hz, so fast motion leans on Motion Xcelerator processing rather than a genuinely higher refresh rate.
  • This is an LED LCD with UHD Dimming, not a self-emissive panel, so black levels in a dark room will not match OLED or Mini LED.
  • Twenty watts of two-channel sound is the same on the 43-inch and the 85-inch, so budget for a soundbar on the larger screens.

What’s in the Box

Samsung does not publish an itemised carton list for this line, so we will not invent one: expect the television, its two feet and fixings and a remote control, and check the packaging insert on delivery.

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
