Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra — The First Ultra Foldable
The first foldable to wear the Ultra badge earns it. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra opens to an 8.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display — 2504 x 2256 at 422ppi, with a low-reflection finish and 3,000-nit peak brightness — inside a body that measures an extraordinary 4.1mm unfolded and 8.9mm closed. This model comes in Cream with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.
The camera is the reason it is called Ultra: a 200MP main sensor of the same class as the S-series Ultras, joined by a 50MP ultra-wide and a 10MP 3x optical telephoto with up to 30x zoom. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, a 5,000mAh dual battery with 45W charging, a 6.5-inch FHD+ cover screen and Android 17 with One UI 9 complete the flagship specification.
A 200MP Camera in a Foldable
Foldables have always traded camera hardware for hinge space. The Fold8 Ultra ends that trade: its 200MP main camera is the same class of sensor as the Galaxy S Ultra line, with optical stabilisation and HDR capture even at full resolution. The 10MP telephoto adds true 3x optical reach, and zoom runs to 30x.
A 50MP ultra-wide, 10MP cameras on the cover and inner displays, 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps video round out the most complete camera system ever fitted to a folding phone.
The Thinnest Samsung Foldable Ever
Open, the Fold8 Ultra is 4.1mm thin — thinner than most phones' camera bumps — yet the display sits on a Flex Titanium structure and the body carries an IP48 rating. Closed, it is 8.9mm with a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz cover screen that works as a complete flagship phone in its own right.
At 215g it undercuts many non-folding flagships, and Samsung's Armor FlexHinge keeps the crease shallow while rating the hinge for years of daily folding.
