Designed around the living room, the Sennheiser RS 175 is a closed-back over-ear system for television and music. Its TR-175 transmitter connects to your set through optical or analogue 3.5mm inputs and doubles as a charging cradle, while wireless range extends up to 100 metres line of sight, so you can carry on listening from the kitchen. A 17Hz to 22,000Hz frequency response and 114dB sensitivity give film soundtracks and albums room to breathe.

Practicality is built in. Up to 18 hours of listening per charge sees you through several evenings, and returning the headphones to the base recharges them without a cable to find.
