Designed to give television sound back to people who struggle with it, the Sennheiser SET 860 is a wireless listening system with a light under-chin headset that sits comfortably alongside glasses. Multiple hearing profiles and a dedicated Speech Intelligibility function bring dialogue forward, and because the system works independently of your television's own volume, nobody else in the room has to compromise. The docking transmitter connects through optical digital or 3.5mm analogue outputs and powers the whole setup.

It is designed to be simple to live with. The headset switches on and off automatically as you lift it from or return it to the dock, so charging happens without thinking about it. Up to 18 hours of operating time from a three-hour charge covers days of viewing, and a 70-metre range lets you move through the house freely. Independent left and right volume, balance control and a stereo or mono switch mean the sound can be adjusted precisely to your hearing.
