The Chromebook CM30 Detachable is a 10.5-inch tablet that clips onto a keyboard, so it works as a small laptop on a desk and as a tablet on the sofa. It weighs 610 grams on its own and measures 9mm thick, which makes it one of the easiest machines here to carry between rooms, or into a bag with a folder.
ChromeOS keeps the machine simple: it starts in seconds, updates in the background and holds most of your work online. The MediaTek Kompanio 520 is an eight-core ARM processor with Mali-G52 MC2 graphics, and the 38Wh battery charges over the single USB-C port with the supplied 45W adapter.

A better screen than expected
