Bosch Series 2 Under Counter Fridge Freezer

A compact 85 cm under counter fridge with 106 litres of fridge space, a 14 litre four-star freezer box and SuperCooling for faster chilling of new shopping.

The KTL15NWEAG is Bosch's Series 2 table top fridge, built to slot under a worktop at 85 cm high and 56 cm wide. Inside there are 106 litres of fridge space plus a separate 14 litre four-star freezer compartment, which makes it a sensible single appliance for a studio, a small flat or a utility room.

The 14 litre freezer compartment carries a four-star rating and sits inside the same cabinet, so there is no second appliance to find room for. Elsewhere the layout is straightforward: two fridge shelves, one of them adjustable, three door bins and a MultiBox with a rippled base for fruit and vegetables. LED lighting keeps everything visible and a door open alarm sounds if the door is left ajar.

Ideal for

Small flats

At 56 cm wide and 85 cm high it tucks under a standard worktop, giving a one or two person household 106 litres of fridge and a small freezer without a full-height cabinet.

Utility rooms

A freestanding White cabinet with a reversible right-hand hinge suits a utility room, spare room or holiday let as extra cold storage, and the nine hour power failure rating covers a short outage.

First homes

Straightforward controls, no app and no menus, with SuperCooling the only button you are likely to press after a big shop. It is the fridge you set up once and forget about.

Key features

106 L fridge space

Two shelves, one of them adjustable, and three door bins hold a week's fresh food for a small household, with a MultiBox at the base for fruit and vegetables.

14 L four-star freezer

A separate freezer compartment inside the same cabinet, four-star rated, so frozen food has a proper home rather than sharing space with the fridge shelves.

SuperCooling function

Drops the fridge temperature quickly so a fresh shop chills down fast and the food already inside is not warmed by the new arrivals.

39 dB running

Class C noise emissions of 39 dB(A) keep the compressor unobtrusive, which matters when the fridge sits in a small kitchen or a studio living space.

9 hour power reserve

If the electricity goes off, Bosch rates the freezer compartment to hold its temperature for nine hours, enough to see out most short interruptions.

Reversible door hinge

The door is hinged on the right as standard and can be swapped to the left, so the fridge works in either corner of a small kitchen.

More to know

What an 85 cm fridge fits

Under counter appliances are measured to sit beneath a standard worktop, and this one is 85 cm high, 56 cm wide and 58 cm deep. That footprint is smaller than a standard 60 cm cabinet, which is useful in a galley kitchen where every centimetre of run counts. Inside, the 106 litres of fridge space are divided between two shelves and three door bins, with the MultiBox taking the bottom of the cabinet.

The freezer box, honestly assessed

Fourteen litres is a freezer compartment, not a freezer. It carries a four-star rating and will take ice, a couple of bags of vegetables and a few ready meals. If you batch cook or buy frozen in bulk, plan on a separate freezer alongside it. If you mostly shop fresh and just want somewhere for ice cream and a spare loaf, it does the job without taking a second footprint in the room.

Running costs and everyday noise

Bosch rates the KTL15NWEAG at 139 kWh a year on the current EU label, which places it in energy class E. That is the figure to compare against other table top models rather than against full-height fridge freezers, which hold far more and use more. Noise is quoted at 39 dB(A), class C, so the compressor is audible if you are standing beside it but easy to ignore from a sofa in the same room. The climate class covers extended temperate through subtropical conditions.
