The SMS6TCI02G is Bosch's Series 6 freestanding machine in brushed steel with an anti-fingerprint coating, sized to the standard slot at 84.5 by 60 by 60 cm. Fourteen place settings make it a household workhorse, and because the worktop lifts off it can also be built under a run of counter rather than standing on its own.
Drying is where it separates itself. Zeolith mineral drying works alongside Efficient Dry and the heat exchanger, releasing stored heat to finish loads that usually defeat a dishwasher. What Zeolith drying actually does
Zeolith is a mineral that gives off heat as it absorbs moisture. In the SMS6TCI02G it works with Efficient Dry and the heat exchanger, pulling damp air out of the cabinet at the end of a cycle and returning warmth to the load. The practical result is that awkward items, plastic lids and deep-bowled glasses, come out ready to put away rather than needing a tea towel and a draining board.
Loading fourteen settings without rearranging
Max Flex baskets are built around movement. The top basket adjusts through three Rackmatic heights, two folding racks lie flat for tall glasses, and six more in the lower basket fold down for casserole dishes. Cutlery lives in the VarioDrawer on the third level, which frees the lower basket entirely, and anti-slip strips hold stemware still while the baskets run in and out.
Running costs and the Eco programme
The A rating is measured on Eco 50, which is the programme to leave selected. It uses 54 kilowatt hours across 100 cycles and 9.5 litres of water per run, and takes four hours fifty-five minutes to do it, because low temperatures and long soaking are what make those numbers work. If you need dishes sooner, SpeedPerfect+ shortens the cycle, Express 60 handles a light load, and the 24 hour delay timer lets a full machine wait for a quieter hour.
