Description

Google Fitbit Air Fitness Tracker - Obsidian, Black · product code 79-GA09509-EU

The Google Fitbit Air is a screenless tracker that weighs 12g with its Obsidian textile band and simply gets on with the job: heart rate, HRV, breathing rate, skin temperature variation and SpO2 overnight, steps, distance, calories and cardio load by day, exercise sessions and sleep stages in between. Nothing lights up on your wrist; everything appears in the Google Health app on your phone.

The battery lasts up to seven days and a five-minute top-up on the magnetic USB-C cable gives a full day, with a 90-minute charge from empty. It is water resistant to 50 metres, so it stays on in the shower and the pool, and the band fits wrists from 13 to 21cm around. Google Health Premium, three months of which are included, adds Google Health Coach built with Gemini, adaptive training plans and deeper sleep insights; the core tracking works without it.

Full description

Google designed the Fitbit Air for people who want the data without the distraction. There is no display to check, just a small status light and a vibration motor for alarms and alerts, and a tracker body of 35 x 17 x 8mm in recycled plastics that sits flat under a sleeve.

Readiness and cardio load scores show whether to push or rest, and Health Guardian features include high and low heart rate notifications and Irregular Rhythm Notifications. It needs a Google Account and the Google Health app on Android 11 or later or iOS 16.4 or later. The Obsidian band has a matte black stainless steel buckle, and silicone Active Bands are sold separately.

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:

  • do not match the description;
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:

  1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.

Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
