Size the air fryer to the people you cook for
Our air fryer guide puts singles and couples at up to 4 litres and a family of three to four at 5 to 7 litres. The Ninja AF110UK's 4.7 litre drawer sits between the two. Housemates who cook together get more from the 6.2 litre AF180UK MAX PRO, which fits up to four chicken breasts, or the 7.6 litre AF200UK, which cooks two dishes at once with independent controls for each zone.
Shared kitchens reward quiet, compact, easy-clean kit

How is a glass air fryer different from a drawer air fryer?
You can see the food cook without opening it. The Dreame Tasti cooks in 2.5 and 4.5 litre borosilicate glass containers, with no non-stick surface to wear off. The Ninja Crispi's two glass containers work with a 1700 W PowerPod and also serve and store the food, and its parts are dishwasher safe.
Which portable blenders run on a battery?
The Ninja Blast, the Ninja Blast Max and the Morphy Richards Portable Rechargeable Blender. The Blast and Blast Max charge over USB-C and give around 15 and 25 blends per charge. The Morphy Richards uses a magnetic charging cable that connects to any USB port and gives 10 blends before it needs charging.
What can a solo microwave do besides reheat?
It can defrost and cook from preset menus. The Russell Hobbs RHMM701C has auto cook menus such as pizza, fish and popcorn, and works out the defrost time from the weight of food you enter. It also has five power levels, dial controls and a 30-minute timer.
Which kettle suits a small room or travel?
The Morphy Richards Compact Travel Kettle. It holds 0.5 litres, around two cups, runs at 900 to 1080 W and has a hinged lid, automatic boil shut-off and boil-dry protection. It is made for hotel stays, holidays and compact accommodation.
Can a toaster cook bread straight from the freezer?
Yes, if it has a defrost setting. The Morphy Richards Equip two-slice toaster has a dedicated defrost function, plus reheat for toast that has gone cold and cancel to stop a cycle.
