Description

Blackstone 12" Round Basting Cover · product code 257-1780EU

Blackstone's 12" Round Basting Cover is the griddle cook's secret for melted cheese and steamed vegetables. Drop it over a stack of burgers with a splash of water and the trapped steam melts the cheese in seconds; sit it over broccoli, onions or diced potatoes and they steam through on the flat top rather than drying out, cutting cooking time at the same time.

The dome is stainless steel, about 30.5cm across, and the heat-resistant handle stays cool enough to lift mid-cook. When the cooking is done it goes straight in the dishwasher. It suits any Blackstone griddle plate, and a pair of them lets you cover a whole batch of smash burgers at once while the buns toast alongside.

Full description

A basting cover is the simplest griddle accessory and one of the most used. Cheesesteaks, patty melts and breakfast muffins all depend on a lid to hold steam, and a 12-inch dome covers a generous patch of plate.

Stainless steel takes the heat and the knocks, and the handle is designed to stay cool to the touch during normal use.
