A 90 cm pyramid chimney hood in stainless steel, covering wide hobs and range cookers with 365 m³/h of extraction across three push-button speeds.
Wide hobs need wide hoods. The DWP94BC50B is Bosch's Series 2 pyramid chimney hood in its 90 cm size, built to span a range cooker or a full-width hob so that steam from the outer burners is caught rather than left to drift. The stainless steel canopy tapers up into a telescopic chimney that hides the ducting behind it.
Three power levels are chosen on mechanical push buttons, with no display to read or menu to learn, and the top setting extracts up to 365 m³/h when ducted outside. Two LEDs light the hob with 94 lux of neutral 3,500 K light, and the washable aluminium grease filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Ideal For
A 90 cm canopy lines up with a range cooker or a wide hob, so the pans at either end sit under the hood rather than outside its reach.
The tapered pyramid shape and stainless steel finish sit naturally in shaker and classic kitchens, where the straight lines of a flat box hood can look severe.
Three push buttons cover the speeds and one covers the light. Nothing to configure, nothing to reset after a power cut and nothing that ages badly.
Key Features
The full 90 cm width and 50 cm depth cover a wide hob or range cooker properly, catching air above the outer rings as well as the centre.
Ducted to the outside, the top speed draws up to 365 m³/h, with 213 m³/h available when the hood is set up to recirculate instead.
Mechanical controls give a low, medium and high setting for the hood and a separate switch for the lights. Simple to use and simple to clean around.
Two LED lamps produce 94 lux at a neutral 3,500 K, spreading light across a wide cooking surface without the heat older bulbs threw down.
Grease is caught by a washable aluminium filter that lifts out for cleaning in the dishwasher, keeping airflow up with very little effort.
The telescopic chimney extends from 79.9 cm to 97.5 cm, so the hood can be set at the right height under both standard and taller ceilings.
Matching the hood to a wide hob
A hood only captures what passes underneath it, which is why fitting a narrow hood over a 90 cm hob leaves the outer pans venting into the room. This canopy is a full 90 cm across and 50 cm deep, covering the whole cooking area including the front rings, where steam most often escapes. If you have a range cooker or a wide induction hob, that coverage does more for everyday performance than a higher airflow figure on a narrower canopy.
Simple controls that keep working
There is no display, no touch surface and no app here, just three mechanical push buttons for the fan and one for the lights. Plenty of people prefer it that way. The buttons can be found without looking, they work with a floury or wet hand, and there is nothing to reset when the power flickers. Cleaning is easier too: a wipe along a row of buttons rather than around a sensitive electronic panel.
Ducting, recirculation and clearances
The outlet is 150 mm and ducted installation delivers the full 365 m³/h. Where an external duct run is not possible, the DHZ5275 recirculation kit, an optional accessory, filters the air and returns it to the room at up to 213 m³/h. Height matters as much as airflow: Bosch specifies a minimum 550 mm between an electric hob and the underside of the hood, or 650 mm above gas, and the chimney adjusts between 79.9 and 97.5 cm. The unit weighs 10.9 kg and has a 1.3 m power cord.
