Full description
Bosch Series 6 60cm Built-In Integrated Design Cooker Hood
An integrated design hood that hides inside a 60cm wall cupboard, pulling up to 749 m³/h on intensive from behind a black glass panel.
The DBB67AM60B is a Series 6 integrated design hood, flush-fitted into a standard 60 cm wall cupboard so that only a black printed glass panel shows. It suits fitted kitchens where an unbroken run of cabinetry matters, and where a chimney hood on the wall would break the line above the hob.
Hiding the hood costs nothing in extraction. Three normal speeds reach 460 m³/h and the intensive setting lifts that to 749 m³/h, reverting after six minutes on its own. TouchSelect controls sit on the glass, and the hood switches on and off with the position of the panel itself.
Ideal For
Flush-fitted into a 60cm wall cupboard with a niche of 34 x 56 x 30 cm, the hood keeps the run of doors above the hob visually intact and the ceiling clear.
Because the body sits inside the cupboard, the cabinet above the hob is not lost entirely, and up to 10 kg of storage per side can rest on the hood itself.
Clear glass with a black print gives the front a flat, dark finish that suits black and graphite kitchens, with a Softlight dimmer on the LEDs for lower evening light.
Key Features
Three normal stages reach 460 m³/h, with an intensive setting at 749 m³/h that steps back to the previous speed after six minutes on its own.
The hood turns on and off with the position of the glass panel, so extraction starts as you open it and stops when it is closed again.
Two 2 W LEDs at 3500 K deliver 451 lux across the hob, and the Softlight dimmer takes the level down when the cooking is done.
Up to 10 kg can sit on each side of the hood, with protective mats included, giving back a little of the space a cupboard-mounted hood takes up.
Two washable stainless steel grease cassettes take the fat out of the airflow and lift out for cleaning when frying has left its mark.
Duct through the 150 mm outlet, with a 120 mm option enclosed, or recirculate with the Clean Air Plus kit at 451 m³/h normal and 652 m³/h intensive.
A hood that reads as cabinetry
Integrated design hoods answer a specific problem: you want proper extraction, but you do not want a stainless chimney dominating the wall above the hob. This one is built into a 60cm wall cupboard, leaving a black printed glass panel as the only visible part. Measuring 34 x 59.7 x 29.8 cm, it needs a niche of 34 x 56 x 30 cm, which is why it belongs in a planned kitchen rather than a retrofit onto an open wall.
Controls on the glass panel
TouchSelect controls sit directly on the glass, so speed is set with a fingertip rather than a bank of buttons. The hood also responds to the panel itself: move it and the hood switches on or off, which means the usual habit of forgetting to turn extraction on before you start frying is largely solved. Intensive runs for six minutes and then drops back automatically, so the loudest setting is never left running by accident.
Extraction, lighting and upkeep together
A hood is judged on three things over the years it is fitted. Airflow here runs from three normal stages up to 460 m³/h, with 749 m³/h available on intensive for heavy frying. Lighting is two 2 W LEDs at 3500 K, giving 451 lux over the pans with a Softlight dimmer for lower levels. Upkeep is two washable stainless steel cassettes that come out by hand. The hood draws 256 W at its connection rating and is rated B for energy, at 62.7 kWh a year.
How It Compares
| Kitchen Need | Bosch Technology | Practical Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Unbroken kitchen lines | Integrated design hood | The body hides inside a 60cm wall cupboard, leaving only a black glass panel visible above the hob |
| Heavy frying | 749 m³/h intensive | Shifts smoke and steam fast, then returns to the previous speed after six minutes |
| Forgetting the fan | Panel-position switching | The hood starts when the glass panel is opened and stops when it is closed |
| Lost cupboard space | 10 kg per side storage | Jars, oils and boards can sit on the hood, with protective mats included in the box |
| Evening atmosphere | Softlight LED dimmer | 451 lux at full output over the hob, dimmed down when the cooking is finished |
| No external duct | Clean Air Plus recirculation | Runs recirculating at 451 m³/h normal and 652 m³/h intensive when ducting outside is not possible |

The Verdict
Strengths
- Hides inside a standard 60cm wall cupboard
- 749 m³/h intensive extraction, 460 m³/h normal
- TouchSelect controls set into the glass panel
- Switches on and off with the panel position
- 451 lux LED lighting with Softlight dimmer
- Two washable stainless steel grease cassettes
- Up to 10 kg storage per side, mats included
Considerations
- This is a built-in hood, requiring a 60cm wall cupboard and a niche of 34 x 56 x 30 cm rather than an open wall.
- Recirculating operation needs the Clean Air Plus kit, which does not come with the hood; a 120 mm outlet adapter is enclosed.
- The storage limit is 10 kg per side, so the hood top takes jars and oils rather than heavy kitchen machines.
