A 600W stick blender with a variable speed dial and turbo boost, built as a compact two-part design with a dishwasher-safe stainless steel shaft.
The Judge JEA96 is a stick blender built around a 600W motor, with a stainless steel blade and shaft and a compact two-part body finished in silver. A variable dial on the top lets you match the speed to what you're blending, from a gentle start to a faster setting for tougher mixtures, and a turbo button adds a short burst of extra power when needed.
Because the shaft separates from the motor body, it comes away for washing on its own and is dishwasher safe, while the motor housing just needs a wipe. At 877g and built as a slim two-part design, it stores easily in a drawer rather than needing space on the worktop, and blends directly in a pan or jug without dirtying a separate blender jug.
Ideal for
Soups and sauces
A variable dial and turbo boost cover most everyday blending jobs, from smoothing out a soup to finishing a sauce right in the pan it was cooked in.
Small kitchens
The two-part design separates for storage, so it takes up a fraction of the space a jug blender needs on a counter or in a cupboard.
One-pot cooking
Because it blends directly in the saucepan, there's no need to transfer hot liquid to a separate jug before it's smooth enough to serve at the table.
Key features
600W motor
Powers through everyday blending jobs like soups, sauces and smoothies, without labouring or stalling partway through a thicker mixture in the pan.
Turbo boost button
Adds a short burst of extra power on top of the regular speed range, useful for the last few seconds of a tough blend.
Variable speed dial
Turn the dial on top of the blender to match the speed to what you're blending, from a gentle start to a faster setting.
Stainless steel blade
A sharp, fixed blade at the base of the shaft breaks down ingredients efficiently for smooth, consistent results in soups and sauces.
Dishwasher-safe shaft
The shaft detaches from the motor housing and goes straight in the dishwasher, while the electrical body just needs a wipe down.
Compact two-part design
The shaft separates from the motor body, so it takes up less drawer space than a jug blender when it's not in use.
More to know
Built to blend where you're already cooking
A stick blender's main advantage over a jug blender is that it goes to the food rather than the other way round. With the JEA96, that means blending soup straight in the saucepan it was cooked in, or breaking down a sauce in the same pan it's simmering in, rather than ladling hot liquid into a separate jug and back again. The variable dial lets you control how fine or rough the result is as you go.
Power and control in equal measure
A 600W motor gives the JEA96 enough strength for everyday blending, but raw power without control isn't much use in a kitchen. The variable dial lets you start slow with delicate mixtures and build up speed as needed, while the turbo button sits apart for the moments a blend needs an extra push, such as the last lumps in a thick soup or sauce.
Easy to clean because it comes apart
The two-part design isn't just about saving space in a drawer, it also means cleaning up is straightforward. The shaft, which is the only part that actually touches food, unclips from the motor body and is dishwasher safe on its own. The motor housing, which holds the electrics and can't go near water, is left with nothing more than a wipe down. It's a simple split between the part that gets dirty and the part that has to stay dry, rather than one sealed unit you have to work around.
