NEFF N50 90cm Wall-Mounted Chimney Cooker Hood with Push Button Controls
A 90cm matt black chimney hood with dependable push button controls and a capacitor motor that moves up to 594 m³/h at full power.
The D95BCC2S0B is a wall-mounted box chimney hood from NEFF's N 50 range, finished in matt black to anchor a dark-toned kitchen or contrast handsomely with lighter cabinetry. It suits cooks who want strong, no-nonsense extraction over a 90cm hob and prefer physical push buttons they can find by feel, without menus or touch panels.
Extraction is the headline: the energy-efficient capacitor motor delivers 361 m³/h at speed one, 469 m³/h at speed two and a substantial 594 m³/h at speed three. That top speed outdraws many hoods' boost settings, and it is available continuously rather than on a timer, backed by three dishwasher-safe stainless steel grease filters across the full width.
Ideal For
The matt black, coated finish is deliberately less sensitive to fingerprints and pairs naturally with black hobs, dark worktops and the current wave of charcoal cabinetry.
Mechanical push buttons control the three speeds and light with a definite press you can operate by feel, mid-cooking, without looking up from the pan.
With 594 m³/h available continuously at speed three across a 90cm width, it keeps pace with large pots, roasting trays and busy weekend cooking.
Key Features
Three speeds deliver 361, 469 and 594 m³/h, so full extraction is available continuously rather than limited to a timed boost.
Physical buttons for speeds and light give effortless, tactile operation and long-term dependability with nothing to miscalibrate.
The energy-efficient capacitor motor provides powerful suction for a convenient cooking experience across all three speeds.
Three washable stainless steel grease filters lift out and go straight in the dishwasher, keeping maintenance to minutes.
Coated smooth surfaces reduce fingerprint marks and wipe clean easily, keeping the matt black looking sharp between deep cleans.
The hood is manufactured in Germany, with a dual-filter system and box design intended for years of daily service.
Full power, whenever you want it
Many hoods reserve their biggest number for a boost mode that shuts itself off after a few minutes. The D95BCC2S0B simply gives you three speeds and lets you choose. Speed one moves 361 m³/h at 57 dB for everyday simmering; speed two steps up to 469 m³/h at 63 dB; and speed three holds 594 m³/h at 67 dB for as long as the frying pan demands. For cooks who like direct control over their kitchen, that simplicity is the appeal.
Simplicity as a long-term virtue
Mechanical push buttons are not a compromise here; they are the point. Each speed and the light has its own button with a positive click, operable with knuckles or wet hands, and there is nothing digital to date or confuse. The same thinking runs through cleaning: smooth coated surfaces resist fingerprints, and the three stainless steel grease filters are dishwasher-safe, so keeping the hood fresh is a routine chore rather than a project.
Installation and the recirculation question
This is a wall-mounted hood for a 90cm hob, needing at least 55cm clearance above an electric hob or 65cm above gas, with the chimney spanning 63.5 to 89.5cm in ducted form. Venting out through 150mm ducting gives the full 594 m³/h performance. If ducting is impossible, the optional Long-life Clean Air recirculation kit converts it, reaching up to 569 m³/h; its odour filter absorbs strong smells such as fish and can be refreshed in the oven, extending its lifetime up to four times before replacement. Factor the kit into your budget if you plan to recirculate.
How It Compares
| Kitchen Need | NEFF Technology | Practical Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Busy weekend cooking | 594 m³/h at speed 3 | Continuous full-power extraction keeps up with roasting trays and several pans at once |
| Simmering and stocks | 361 m³/h at speed 1 | A gentler 57 dB setting handles long, slow cooking without dominating the room |
| Messy hands mid-cook | Mechanical push buttons | Speeds and light switch with a definite press you can find without looking |
| Dark kitchen designs | Matt black coated finish | Fingerprint-resistant surfaces keep the black looking clean between wipe-downs |
| Filter cleaning day | Dishwasher-safe filters | Three stainless steel grease filters go straight in the dishwasher, no scrubbing |
| No external duct | Long-life Clean Air kit | Optional recirculation reaches 569 m³/h, with an odour filter refreshable in the oven |

The Verdict
Strengths
- 594 m³/h maximum extraction, available continuously
- Tactile push button controls for speeds and light
- Three dishwasher-safe stainless steel grease filters
- Fingerprint-resistant matt black coated finish
- Energy-efficient capacitor motor
- Made in Germany
- Full-width 89.8cm coverage for 90cm hobs
Considerations
- There is no intensive or boost setting beyond the three speeds, and speed three runs at 67 dB, which is clearly audible.
- Recirculation requires the optional Long-life Clean Air kit; out of the box the hood needs 150mm ducting to the outside.
- Annual energy consumption is 72 kWh with a B energy class, higher than some comparable hoods in this range.
