NEFF N50 90cm Telescopic Pull-Out Cooker Hood
A 90cm telescopic cooker hood that pulls out from under a cabinet when needed and disappears when not, with an A energy rating and silent drive motor.
The D49ED22N1B is a pull-out telescopic hood from NEFF's N 50 range, designed to hide beneath a wall cabinet above a 90cm hob. It suits kitchens where a full chimney hood would feel heavy or interrupt a run of cupboards: you slide the silver metallic visor out to cook, and push it back to restore a clean, cabinet-lined wall.
Despite the compact 16.2cm built-in height, it runs a Silent Drive motor with three speeds plus an intensive setting that reaches 412 m³/h. An automatic after-run keeps clearing steam for ten minutes after you finish, and the intensive setting steps itself back down after six, so the hood manages its own housekeeping.
Ideal For
The hood builds into a 16.2cm niche beneath a cabinet, so the cabinetry line stays unbroken and only a slim handle strip shows when it is pushed in.
At 89.8cm wide it covers a 90cm hob properly, with three LED lamps spread across the width so the whole cooking surface is lit evenly.

The D49ED22N1B takes the opposite approach: it builds into a shallow 16.2 x 52.6 x 29cm niche under a cabinet, and the only visible element is a stainless steel handle strip on the silver metallic visor. Pull it out and extraction switches across the hob; push it home and the kitchen returns to clean lines.
Quietly efficient by design
The Silent Drive motor is the heart of this hood. It holds noise to 63 dB at maximum normal use, and with a power rating of just 76W it consumes an average of 22.2 kWh a year, earning an A energy class on the A+++ to D scale. Soft touch electronic controls select the three speeds, and when you call on the intensive setting for a smoky pan, it steps back to normal automatically after six minutes rather than running at full tilt unnoticed.
What to know before fitting
This is a built-in appliance for furniture installation: it needs a cabinet above the hob with a 16.2cm-high niche, and clearances of at least 43cm above an electric hob or 65cm above gas. You can duct it outside through a 150mm outlet, with a 120mm adapter enclosed, or fit the optional Clean Air recirculation kit where ducting is not feasible. Its 266 m³/h normal maximum is well matched to modest and moderate cooking; if your household regularly fries at high heat, the 412 m³/h intensive setting is there, but heavier cooks may want a higher-capacity hood.

Legal guarantee
Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:
- do not match the description;
- do not function as intended.
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:
- free repair or free replacement;
- in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.
Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
