Outin Claro Coffee Scale

A rechargeable round coffee scale with 0.1 g accuracy and three smart brewing modes that tare automatically and track your coffee-to-water ratio as you pour.

The Outin Claro is a compact coffee scale for anyone who wants repeatable brews rather than lucky ones. Its round, 111 mm design has no wasted corners, sits comfortably in one hand and weighs just 145 g on its own, so it works as happily in a travel kit as beside a kettle at home.

Three smart brewing modes are the heart of it. Choose Manual, Espresso or Pour-Over and the Claro adapts to your routine, taring automatically and calculating essentials such as the coffee-to-water ratio while you work. Readings resolve to 0.1 g across a 0.3 g to 2000 g range, with a timer running to 9 minutes 59 seconds.

Ideal for

Dialling in espresso

Espresso mode plus 0.1 g accuracy means doses and yields are measured, not guessed, so you can adjust one variable at a time and actually taste the difference.

Pour-over precision

In Pour-Over mode the Claro tares automatically and tracks the coffee-to-water ratio as you pour, with the timer running to keep your brew on schedule.

Brewing on the road

At 145 g with a waterproof, scratch-resistant case included, it travels safely, and a full charge covers up to 400 brewing cycles, so the USB-C cable can stay at home.

Key features

0.1 g accuracy

Readings resolve to 0.1 g, or 0.01 oz, across a weighing range of 0.3 g to 2000 g, covering single espresso doses through to full brewers.

3 smart brewing modes

Manual, Espresso and Pour-Over modes adapt the scale to your method, taring automatically and calculating data such as the coffee-to-water ratio for you.

400 brews per charge

The 700 mAh rechargeable battery completes up to 400 brewing cycles on one charge, and auto-sleep after 120 seconds stops idle moments draining it.

Side switch control

Power, off and mute all live on one easy side switch, keeping the top surface clean and the operation obvious at six in the morning.

Heat-shielding silicone mat

The included food-grade silicone mat protects the platform from splashes and excessive heat, so hot brewers and drippy portafilters are nothing to worry about.

Protective case included

A waterproof, scratch-resistant case is in the box alongside a USB-C cable, so the Claro travels as well as it measures.

More to know

Modes that think along with you

Most scales just report a number and leave the arithmetic to you. The Claro's three brewing modes go further. In Espresso or Pour-Over mode it tares automatically and calculates essentials such as the coffee-to-water ratio while you brew, and Manual mode is there when you would rather drive everything yourself. The timer runs to 9 minutes 59 seconds, which comfortably covers a long pour-over bloom and brew, and readings stay precise to 0.1 g throughout.

Ready for wet, hot reality

Coffee brewing is hard on electronics: splashes, drips and hot vessels straight off the boil. The Claro ships with a food-grade silicone mat that shields its platform from both splashes and excessive heat, and a side switch handles on, off and mute without hunting for touch zones with wet fingers. Between brews it minds its own battery, dropping into auto-sleep after 120 seconds, and it stores at anything from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius.

A scale built to leave the house

Portability shapes every part of the Claro. The round 111 mm platform is only 20 mm tall, and at 145 g on its own, or 175 g with the silicone mat, it adds almost nothing to a travel kit. The waterproof, scratch-resistant case in the box keeps it safe in transit, and the 700 mAh battery runs to 400 brewing cycles per charge, recharging over the included USB-C cable. One caution for flyers: carry it in cabin baggage and leave it unused in flight.
