Powerpoint's compact Smart Frost fridge freezer keeps the 153-litre fridge on top, where you reach for it most, and puts a 52-litre four-star freezer with two deep drawers below. The Smart Frost system circulates cold air through the freezer so frost builds up more slowly than in a static freezer, which means less scraping and more usable drawer space.

An electronic control panel inside the fridge sets the temperature from 1 to 5 and has a fast cool setting that switches itself off after 26 hours. Three glass shelves, a vegetable drawer with a glass cover, two door shelves and an egg tray sit under an LED lamp, the door hangs on either side, and the stainless steel finish with recessed handles suits a modern kitchen. It is rated E at 191kWh a year and runs at 39dB.

The Powerpoint P65514MSFX-E is a 54cm-wide fridge freezer with the fridge above the freezer: 153 litres of fresh-food space on top and a 52-litre four-star freezer below, split across two large drawers that take a pizza box or a loaf without squeezing. The cabinet is 144cm tall and 55cm deep, with a stainless steel finish and integrated handles.

Powerpoint's Smart Frost system uses a fan to move cold air around the freezer, so frost forms slowly and the drawers stay easy to open; it is not a frost-free appliance, so an occasional defrost is still needed. Electronic temperature control, a fast cool function, an LED light and a reversible door complete it. Rated E, it uses 191kWh a year and runs at 39dB.
