Powerpoint 137L Chest Freezer

The Powerpoint P1150K is the mid-size model in Powerpoint's chest freezer range: 137 litres of four-star storage in a cabinet 62.8cm wide, 55.8cm deep and 83.5cm high. With a freezing capacity of 12kg in 24 hours it can take a full shop of fresh meat, fish and vegetables straight in and freeze it hard, then keep it at -18°C for the long term.

Running it is simple. A mechanical thermostat dial on the front panel sets the temperature and indicator lights confirm it is working. The compartment defrosts manually, with a drain outlet underneath to carry the meltwater away, and a removable basket sits at the top for the small items you reach for most. On the EU label it is class E with 175kWh of annual consumption, 40dB noise in class C, and suitable for ambient temperatures from 10°C to 43°C.

What stands out

Freezes 12kg of fresh food in 24 hours in the four-star compartment, then stores it at -18°C.

Basket for the small things

A lift-out basket keeps bags of peas and tubs of ice cream off the floor of the cabinet.

Dial control

A thermostat dial on the front sets the temperature with no menus to learn.

Manual defrost, drain fitted

Defrost once or twice a year and let the water out through the drain outlet in the base.

Class E, 175kWh

EU energy label class E, 175kWh a year, 40dB in noise class C.

Recessed handle

The lid handle is set into the front edge so nothing protrudes from the front of the chest.
