Powerpoint 194L Chest Freezer

The Powerpoint P1120K is a 194-litre chest freezer with one wide four-star compartment and a freezing capacity of 16kg in 24 hours. That is the capacity for a household that shops monthly, takes half a lamb from the butcher or freezes its own fruit and vegetables, and the open chest layout takes awkward shapes that would never fit an upright's drawers.

The cabinet is 81.8cm wide, 55.8cm deep and 83.5cm high with a recessed lid handle. Temperature is set on a mechanical thermostat dial with indicator lights, defrosting is manual with a drain outlet in the base, and Powerpoint states it can be used in a garage or outbuilding provided the ambient temperature stays between 10°C and 43°C. On the EU energy label it is class E, 198kWh a year and 40dB, noise class C.

What stands out

194 litres of open space

One big four-star compartment with no drawers, so joints, trays and bulk packs go in whole.

16kg a day freezing capacity

Freezes 16kg of fresh food in 24 hours and keeps it at -18°C.

Garage and outbuilding use

Powerpoint rates the P1120K for garages, utility rooms and outbuildings where the temperature stays within 10°C to 43°C.

Thermostat dial

Set the temperature on the dial at the front; indicator lights show it is running.

Manual defrost with drain

A drain outlet in the base carries the meltwater away when you defrost.
