Powerpoint 400L Dual Temperature Chest Freezer

Four hundred litres is the biggest chest freezer Powerpoint makes, and the P11400ML2W-E adds a trick the smaller models do not have: a digital control panel that runs the whole cabinet as a freezer between -12°C and -24°C or as a fridge between 2°C and 8°C. As a freezer it is four-star rated with a freezing capacity of 18kg in 24 hours; as a fridge it is 400 litres of chilled space for drinks, a harvest of produce or catering for a crowd.

The panel has plus and minus keys, a temperature display and a Fast Freeze function that holds -32°C for 26 hours before returning to the set temperature. The keys lock themselves after three minutes to prevent accidental changes, the settings survive a power cut, and the compressor is protected by a restart delay. Inside are two hanging baskets; underneath are castors and a defrost drain; and the lid swings on steel hinges. It measures 136.5cm wide, 73.5cm deep and 83.5cm high and is rated E at 263kWh a year with 41dB of noise.
