Powerpoint 99L Chest Freezer

Ninety-nine litres is enough freezer for a one or two person household, or for the overflow from a family fridge freezer, and the Powerpoint P1110K packs it into a chest 54.5cm wide, 47.8cm deep and 83.5cm high. Inside is a single four-star compartment with a freezing capacity of 8kg in 24 hours, the rating that means fresh food can be frozen from scratch rather than just stored.

Control is a mechanical thermostat dial on the front panel with indicator lights beside it. Defrosting is manual, helped by a drain outlet underneath, and the lid closes on a recessed handle so nothing sticks out. The EU label gives it energy class E with 168kWh of annual consumption, 40dB noise in class C, and a climate rating covering ambient temperatures from 10°C to 43°C.

What stands out

Compact 99-litre chest

At 54.5cm wide it fits where an upright freezer will not, and the chest format keeps the cold air in when the lid is opened.

Four-star freezing

Freezes 8kg of fresh food in 24 hours and stores it at -18°C, so you can freeze your own produce and cooked meals, not just shop-bought frozen food.

Simple dial control

A thermostat dial on the front sets the temperature; there is nothing to programme, and indicator lights show the freezer is running.

Manual defrost with a drain

Defrost once or twice a year; the drain outlet in the base lets the meltwater out without bailing.

Class E, 168kWh a year

The EU energy label rates the P1110K at 168kWh of annual consumption and 40dB of noise, class C.

Wide climate range

Registered for ambient temperatures from 10°C to 43°C (classes SN, N, ST and T).
